He is waiting...

GOD IS WAITING TO TAKE YOU BACK
There is the story of the prodigal son (also known as the lost son) in Luke 15:11-32 . That son became prodigal because he decided he was going to run his life his own way. He threw away everything a good father could offer a son and chose a direction that was only bound to end in destruction. In the beginning, when God created us, He did it in His image and after His likeness (Gen 1:26). God didn't see us as a mere creation. That's why in 1 Pet 2:9, we are called a chosen people, royal priesthood and God’s special possession. We are indeed a generation of God carefully and wonderfully made to fulfill God's purpose here on earth and in heaven. However like the prodigal son, mankind through Adam and Eve abandoned the wealth and comfort of the garden of Eden and the love of a heavenly father and instead chose to follow after lust, preferring to surrender to the deceit of the devil despite the clear consequences of such disobedience to the instructions of God. Whereas the prodigal son acknowledged he had sinned after man and after God, (not worthy to be called a son anymore), man after that fall in the garden of Eden is still groping in the dark to find God. We thank God however, for the sacrifice paid by the release of God’s only begotten son; to die for us and to be reconnected back to Him. The bible in John 15:13 calls it the "GREATEST LOVE"- The unconditional love of God for us His children even in our state of sin and rebellion.

Jesus died that we may have life and have it abundantly. That is the life we lost in the garden of Eden but which through His death and the gift of salvation, He has promised to bring us into again. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:3). If anyone will receive and believe in Him, they will become sons of God again and will not die but have everlasting life.  This is God's invitation to reign with Him in eternity. If we reject Him, we reject life and risk eternal damnation and condemnation to hell fire. A life without Christ, lived in sin can only end up in one place - HELL.

I believe everyone that desires life will make a decision like the prodigal son, that is, go back to the father in repentance. If you are willing to turn from your old ways no matter how far you have travelled the wrong path; and to accept Jesus today, then He will accept you and present you to His father who is in heaven. You can say this simple prayer today: “ Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and I believe you died for my sins. I confess that God raised you from the dead and I accept you as my Lord and Savior.”

Congratulations, you are now born again. Kindly find a Bible believing church where you can learn more about God and worship Him. GOD BLESS YOU - Dare Ojo Bello
